Dear East Mountain Little League Families,

My name is Pat Hitchcock, president of East Mountain Little League. On behalf of myself and the EMLL Board of Directors, I want to thank you for your patience and continued support during the postponement of the 2020 EMLL season due to COVID-19 virus and the directives set forth by the State of New Mexico. It has been challenging for all of us.

We had hoped that at some point we could resume our season, see the fields filled with players and the bleachers packed with fans. But sadly, the state health guidelines and the uncertainty of the future has led us to the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 season. We know this decision is a disappointment for you as it is for us. Our children also play in this league and all of us were ready for a fantastic season of baseball and softball.

In light of the cancellation, and with the knowledge that many of our families have been deeply affected financially by this pandemic, we are offering two options. You may request a full refund or you can choose to donate your registration and related fees to support EMLL.

Your response is required as follows:

1. All outstanding candy money must be returned to EMLL via mail (postmarked by June 30, 2020). Please submit your payment via check to EMLL, PO Box 576, Sandia Park, NM 87047. Requests for refunds will not be honored unless candy money is received in full.

    

2. We will honor all requests for a full refund of monies paid to EMLL for the 2020 season including registration fees, field maintenance deposit, and if applicable, your candy buyout and Isotopes ticket purchase. All requests for refunds must be received no later than June 30, 2020. We are unable to honor requests received after this date – NO EXCEPTIONS. Click here to request your refund. Refunds will be issued by July 31, 2020.

    

3. You may donate your registration and related fees to EMLL to assist in expenses incurred in preparation for the 2020 season. Donations are fully tax deductible to you. Unfortunately, the pandemic struck New Mexico just a few short weeks prior to our anticipated season. Significant expenses were incurred by the league including the purchase of equipment, uniforms, and other resources to get us ready to play ball. EMLL’s only sources for revenue are our registration fees, the support of our community sponsors, and our concession revenues which were greatly limited last season due to construction. Your support will help to ensure the viability of our league in the future. If you choose to donate your fees, no action is required.

Due to the complexity of the bookkeeping, unfortunately, we are unable to roll your fees over for the 2021 season. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.  Please know that we genuinely appreciate your support and we are looking forward to many more seasons at East Mountain Little League. We can’t wait to see those smiling faces again!
